These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of vettedroof.com (the "Service"), operated by Vetted Roof ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Service — whether as a homeowner searching for a contractor or a contractor claiming a listing — you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. Description of service
Vetted Roof is a directory that connects homeowners with independent, third-party roofing contractors. Vetted Roof is not a roofing contractor. We do not perform roofing work, employ the contractors listed on the Service, or supervise their work. We verify certain information contractors provide (such as license status) as described in these Terms, but listing on the Service is not a guarantee of a contractor's quality, reliability, or fitness for any particular job.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when creating an account, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Terms for homeowners
- Quote requests you submit will be shared with the specific contractor you select, per our Privacy Policy.
- Vetted Roof is not a party to any contract, estimate, or agreement between you and a contractor. Any work performed, warranty, or payment arrangement is solely between you and the contractor.
- We encourage you to independently verify a contractor's license, insurance, and references before hiring, regardless of any verification badge shown on the Service.
5. Terms for contractors
- You represent that all information submitted for your listing (license number, insurance, certifications, service area) is accurate and current, and you'll promptly update it if it changes or lapses.
- We may remove or suspend a listing at our discretion, including for lapsed licensing/insurance, verified complaints, or violation of these Terms.
- Subscription fees (for Featured or Premium tiers, described on our Pricing page) are billed monthly and non-refundable except as required by law or as otherwise stated at signup.
- Consistent with our one-lead-one-buyer model, leads generated through the Service are provided to you exclusively; reselling or redistributing homeowner contact information obtained through the Service to third parties is prohibited.
6. User content & reviews
Reviews must reflect a genuine, verified job experience. Fake reviews, review manipulation (positive or negative), and paid reviews without disclosure are prohibited and may result in content removal and/or account termination. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant Vetted Roof a license to display, reproduce, and distribute it in connection with operating the Service.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We don't warrant that listed contractors will meet your requirements, that verification information is error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vetted Roof is not liable for any damages arising from work performed by, disputes with, or actions of any contractor found through the Service, or for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to your use of the Service. (This section needs jurisdiction-specific drafting from counsel — liability caps and carve-outs vary meaningfully by state.)
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service, or request account deletion, at any time.
10. Dispute resolution

11. Changes to these terms
